LICENSING OF  ACTIVITIES

The activity will be located in one of the various Annexes 20/2009 (law ​​of environmental prevention and control activities)

In Barcelona are classified according to Ordenança Municipal d’Activitats i de la Intervenció Integral de l’Administració Ambiental (OMAIIAA)

01. Régim de Comunicació (annexes III.2 and III.3)

Annex III.2  Communication activity providing required documentation to the council. Activity not under any control regime

Annex III.3 Communication of project activity and providing required documentation to the Environmental Control Entity that perform an inspection of the premises

02.Régim de Llicencia Ambiental (Annex II.1 i II.2)

License application and project documentation required by the council and then to an Entity Environmental Control to conduct an inspection of the premises

 To find out if you can install an activity at a site that has been checked:

If there is urban compatibility.

If the District refuses the “plan de  usos”, we would recommend a consultation with municipal technical services.

Local structure

Accessibility

Room height

Reaction of materials to fire

Evacuation plan

 Number of emergency exits

Vents

Refuse point

Risk areas

Noise pollution

FURTHER PERMISSIONS REQUIRED WHEN STARTING AN ACTIVITY:

PERMITS FOR MINOR WORKS  OR MAJOR WORKS.

When starting an activity  at a property, you will have to ask permission from the council. Depending on the works to be carried out, permission for minor works or major works will be required.

LEGALIZATION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLLATION.

The property’s electrical installation must be legalized. Depending on the type of activity and the power required, you will need to have an electrical plan created by an engineer.

LEGALIZATION OF HVAC EQUIPMENT (HEATING, VENTILATION and AIR CONDITIONING)

Depending on the power of the equipment, the council can apply the proposed legalization and HVAC equipment.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE CHOOSING A  PREMISE

– Visit the property accompanied by an engineer.

– Arrange a consultation with  the technical services of the District Council (if possible, accompanied by an engineer)
